DJ Synnott Solicitors recently settled an action for damages arising out of a work related injury where the client sustained a hand injury.
The claim had been assessed by the Injuries Board in the sum of €120,000 in February 2010. The client rejected the Injuries Board assessment and DJ Synnott Solicitors settled the claim for €185,000 in March 2011. It is always advisable to seek legal advice before accepting any assessment of the Injuries Board. In most cases our clients have done considerably better when they have rejected the Injuries Board assessment and instructed us to fight for a higher figure.
